A settlement has been reached with Lakeview Health Systems, L.L.C. (“Lakeview Health” or “Defendant”) in a class action lawsuit. This case is about the targeted cyberattack on Lakeview Health's computer systems that occurred in January 2024 (the “Data Incident”). Certain files that contained private information were accessed. These files may have contained personal information such as names; addresses; dates of birth; Social Security numbers; driver’s license numbers; financial account numbers; patient IDs; medical treatment information; diagnoses; conditions; prescription information; and health insurance information.
The lawsuit is called Skov et al., v. Lakeview Health Systems, L.L.C., Case No. 16-2024-CA-003154-AXXX-MA. It is pending in the Circuit Court of Duval County, Florida (the “Litigation”). Lakeview Health denies that it did anything wrong, and the Court has not decided who is right. The parties have agreed to settle the lawsuit (the “Settlement”) to avoid the costs and risks, disruptions, and uncertainties of continuing the Litigation.s
“Class Members” are defined as individuals identified by Lakeview Health's records who are entitled to benefits under the Settlement. Class Members may have received a previous notice directly from Lakeview Health.
